(Summer) Room 115 - Moving In

A tiny blond wearing cutoff shorts and a tee carried a box down the hall of the girl's dorm, perspiring profusely . The box was almost as big as her, and blocked her view of the hallway ahead. Two other large boxes floated through the air behind her.

Miriam steps out into the hallway from her dorm room and runs straight into Haley's box, only barely managing to get her hands on it to keep it from toppling one way or the other. "Hey, watch where you're going with this!"

Haley let out a surprised yelp and peeked around the edge of the box. "Sorry! No one was around to help and I didn't want to make more than one trip....oh...is this 115? You must be my roommate?"

"Then maybe you shouldn't have brought as much stuff." she suggests, though despite sounding a little frosty she does step aside to let Haley move her boxes into the room.

Jesus, who pissed in her cornflakes... she thought to herself a bit too loudly.

"Thanks..." she grunted, hefting the box up and letting her other boxes float in behind her.

"I had a bagel for breakfast." she says as a way to make it abundantly clear that she caught that. "I suppose you don't need any help with this then." she says, nudging one of the floating boxes.

Ah fuck....I'm shouting again....or maybe she's a teep too....

Haley sighed in frustration, "I've been up for like 23 hours, I suck at telepathy, and that was supposed to be an internal monologue thingy that you like don't say to the person you're going to be sleeping in the same room with for a year the first time you meet them....I'm sorry, alright.?"

"Fine, but you need to work on your control or this is going to be a nightmare. Literally." she says, then seems to begrudgingly allow herself to sympathize with Haley some. "I have enough issues keeping my own subconscious roped off, I don't need the stress of trying to do it for two."

Haley set down her stuff, forcing a hopeful smile and extending her hand, "Look, we'll figure it out, alright. I'm Haley."
