The option was given to drop his things off before getting a tour of the facility. Suitcase and coat deposited, Naku opted to wait in the gardens before someone came to collect him. He thought he told someone he would be there, but it's possible he only thought it. None of his roommates were present when he arrived. At least, they hadn't popped out of their rooms. It didn't help that Naku hadn't stuck around for long after his items touched his bed.
The only thing he brought with him was his guitar. He left his case open in his room, only bringing his
pride and joy with him. He played a few lines of various songs, trying to fall on one that resonated with him as he walked through the rose garden.
Was it bad he was near halfway across the world still thinking of her? He decided he needed to rebrand the heartache into something different. Settling on a
melody, soon enough he opened up to sing softly to himself at first.
"Keeping me in check, keeping me obsessed
Play you on repeat endlessly in my head
Anytime it hurts, play another verse
but I can be your sanctuary..."He slowed at the word, thoughts going from the duration of his old flame to the last time he tried to help her. The last word resonated with him, for once, instead of getting swept up int he negative, he pushed through on the opposite side. Surety and confidence became his boon.
"Know I'm the only one right now
I will love you more when it all burns down
More than power, more than gold
Yeah, you gave me your heart now I'm here for your soul
"I'm the only one who'll love your sins...
Feel the way my voice gets underneath your skin..."He let the guitar build up, trying to take an amend the feelings he felt on that fateful day. His voice got a bit louder, letting himself forget he was in a new place and ignorant of the idea that others could be around.
"Listen cause I'm preachin' to the choir
Can I get the mic a little higher?
Gimme your desire
I can be the star you rely on
Lost in my spell, now you can't look away
Don't you know I'm here to save you
Now we runnin' wild
Yeah, I'm all you need, Imma be your idol!"He played the guitar a bit after rather then going into the middle part of the song. It was Nakus choice to bask in this feeling that he could be relied on it others just trusted in him. First, he had to trust in himself. This was the first start of it, even if it was the inversion of the shame he felt. The song was not his own, though he tweaked it here and there. Others could join in if they wanted, but no effect would hit anyone else unless they got within five feet of him. Thus, he wasn't concerned of it happening. He played and dwelled in the new emotions before looking around to see if anyone else was present.
