No More Space For me To Hide

While Katarina is orchestrating the maneuver that'll aim the two thorns in their side towards more deserving targets, Ryn is on a mission as well. And while she does feel like she should be having Katarina's back, the Siren is more than capable of taking care of herself. No, the strange feeling of imaginary quills underneath her skin like an inside-out porcupine (guilt, supposedly) is because she didn't tell Katarina the full truth. For a reason, though she's having trouble fully deciphering it herself. She doesn't necessarily think Katarina would stop her or disapprove (though she might), but something just doesn't sit right about it and the idea of Katarina seeing her show weakness to anybody who isn't her is... unsettling somehow. Granted the Fury's idea of weakness is vague at best, a lot of it tied up in the way Katarina makes her chest sing and her toes curl. Even if this is decidedly different, it's a concession and she's only ever made those for Katarina directly.

She's pretty sure Katarina doesn't fully understand how much it means for Ryn to deviate. To no longer be absolute when it is all she's ever been for eons. But Katarina's waters will reshape the rock that is Ryn regardless and that is what her sisters don't understand in turn. Ryn is caught in some kind of in between for which there surely is no proper symbol-word. And thus she lets herself into the building in which she finds the office of Lucie Brooks and Piper Woodward, knocking on the door of two of the managers of Chrysalis Records.
